Me again, sorry :thumb2:

Steve H kindy pointed me at night shift on youtube and his video on making weld seams.

Now the question, Whats the best tool to use to make the welds???

Thanks Bob

Bob,
There are various ways, my prefered method is using very thin rod or stretched sprue glue in place where you want the weld then apply a few coats of liquid cement until it is soft, then using the tip of a scalpel press in the ripples of the weld. Have a practice on an old kit or a flat piece of sheet until your happy with the size pattern you want. HTH

Doesn't Martin show how he makes his own tools in that video? He definitely does in one of them. Bits of drinks can cut into various shapes for different types of weld I think, wrapped around a cocktail stick.

Thanks Paul, one to try:thumb2:

He does Andy! also think i have seen hollow tube cut at an angle??

Yes Bob, I've seen that too.

I think if you look at a weld seam close up you can see the crescent shaped pools of material that build up, which the angled tube should be able to replicate. I have no experience at actually doing it but it does look like it would work.
