i have just bought some humbrol metalcote and I thought I'd see if there was any info on it , does it need thinning, how long do you leave it to dry and all I can find is the one sided narrow view of spraying it

Is this just like normal enamel or does it have a different drying time ?

Any help is appreciated:)

I dont know if it needs thining for airbrushing but mine is quite thick so would have thought so i always brush mine on small parts ,goes on very well leave overnight to dry.

I've just had a practice of metalcote, I did do the handles on my kuble but that was to small to notice so I had a pop at a Bren gun , this has had one coat of steel metalcote and it's been dryer with a hair dryer View attachment 116663

I just rubbed it with a piece of kitchen towel,View attachment 229686

I've used a couple of these once in a while. All seem quite good. Humbrol's 'Gunmetal' is a nice one.

I have all to give a go , I have a 1/16 roman legionary and the 1/48 EE lightning to do so I'm doing little stuff and building up to do them :)
