Ian sorry for the late reply and the shameless digI got paid back it hit the freezing mark for 2 hours here yesterday. O-town is slang for Orlando Fl home of Mickey Rat

Lets hope the weather don't get to cold over there, you wont be able to get a glove on!!! OK I'm sorry I will stop now.

Anyway I was close I was thinking Orange county. Not that close I know but its in the same country.....

okay I totally deserved that Ian ,yea no surfing or riding for a while,on a bright note should be back in the 80 degree zone by the end of the week

Today it was minus 18c! Nice and frosty, crunchy snow. You know the stuff childhood memories are built from. That was the highlight of the day!The journey to work was fairly painless, just the odd prat that cant work out how to drive more than 30km/h. Buy some winter tires or take the (none-existent) bus!

The journey home...13km door to door. TWO BLOODY HOURS. The first ten of which was mostly in first gear with the odd bit of second gear thrown in. Two kilometers up the road and it was back to crawl stop crawl stop.

Yes the council has run out of road salt, yes there was snow on the roads and black ice where you least want it- bottom of a hill at the approach to a round-about- that was fun. The real problem was ever man and his dog "driving home for Christmas". They have forecast a snow storm tonight and every one has gone mad and taken tomorrow off and set off today. The last time I saw so many cars, I was in Birmingham visiting family in England, but they where moving!!

Rant over.

So how bad is the snow where you are. I have 40cm in the garden, and more on the way tonight.

Every winter we have a problem with people skidding on "Black Ice" ..................... I have a solution................

...............If they painted all the roads orange............... The black ice would show up so people could see it .............:smile1:
