Thank you kindly people, but my mind is made up.

There is a clique of people on here who have changed the forum, preventing anyone from speaking their mind or applying well-meant critique simply because they would rather live in a sugar-coated world.

The things said by Alan in Peter's thread are offensive & unsubstantiated and have angered me.

But he represents this new attitude in the forum, so its best I go.

Take care all of you.

Patrick

C'mon Patrick, You and I have gone at worse than that! and I think we're still friends . Let the kettle cool a bit..... Please don't go:(...............Jim

We don't need this, surely guys.

I agree with Patrick, try and use new ideas and techniques to get the best.

I agree with Alan, if you feel you get the best from using a chuffing roller then so be it.

Please guys it is just plastic.

Si:(

Sorry to hear about this Patrick.

Having left the forum some time back for some similar reasons I can understand your feelings.

You will be missed as I like your interesting comments ideas and opinions. I do not always agree with them and neither you with mine.

But we have had some fun in not agreeing. I like to think so any way.

I have to say that even though I did leave, with damn good reason, I did find it lonely as there is not as I found, a better place to be for model making.

So I drove myself back here.

Harsh & unnecessary words were said in Peter's piece. However I see no reason what soever for you to leave on that account.

We do need people who give reasoned arguments. I do hope you reconsider or at least have a sebatical before cutting ties.

When we've had a difference of opinion, I've never taken anything you've said as being personal Jim. But Alan's comments overstep that line as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know what I want to do. I'll miss the place if I go, that's for sure!

Simple, don't go. We all cannot see eye-to-eye at times, that's what makes us different from each other. Also the fact that we can view things better later on.

Alan, is a valued member of this forum...just, you are a valued member of this forum, Peter is a valued member of this forum...EVEN I'M...a valued member...I hope.

Many years ago we lost a very creative member of this forum due to things getting out of hand...please don't let it happen again.

Just remember Patrick, we're all artists{ though unheralded} and thus temperamental and persnickety, just the nature of the beast. There will always be differences between us, but I must say that when I work on my projects I always have you in the back of my mind and you have made me pay more attention to historical accuracy because it made sense to me. Hate to think you won't keeping me in line anymore;).........Jim

You know, you have something there.

Alan told me that you told him his work was superb, really great weathering, effects. Right, that is down to people like yourselves helping folk like Alan see things differently and adapt...thing is, I have also looked at Al's work and have got tips from him via you...so pissed off or not, we have all benefited from each other.

I need a coffee and choccy biccie.

I'm not going to take sides on this difference of opinions in Peters thread (I took a look to see what all the fuss was about) as I have great respect for both you and Alan. I would like to suggest that after a good nights sleep you will feel better in the morning and will have retracted your request to cancel your membership.

The problem with the written word on forums and emails is interpretation as there is no intonation in what is said. We all interpret stuff differently we we read it.........and sometimes it gives us the bleeding hump!!!! C`mon Patrick..... put it behind you, stick around. Even if you just lie low for a bit....... Onward and upward matey :)

I agree with Peter, give it a few days Patrick and I'll probably piss you off even worse and then you would have forgotten all about this latest episode:p:D..........Jim
