Im loving the shape this..... Got lots of potential
Yep a 1/24 6v and some wolfrace wheels and a bucket of metal flake and we're good to go..... those where the days.

Great work Ian, and nice to see some Humbrol being splashed around.
Talking of which...
I did the rub down and light polish this morning before the second coat of Ivory... Whilst admiring the result it fell off the holder and landed on the not to clean floor.... A quick bath in White spirit and a wipe down later it is now resprayed and drying before I even touch it!

The comedy show continues:
So yesterday I Took the fluffy car to the work bench and thought "Hmm I wonder...." So I took my Tamiya compound out and squeezed a little blob onto the roof.... "That's an odd smell" I looked at the tube in my hand. 'Tamiya putty'. OH BBbb...other! So something like that.
Lucky I didn't start to slather it all over the roof. I saved things the best I could, gave the fluffy bits a good polish. with the double checked tube of compound... Sort of saved it. A quick couple of thin coats and it'll do.

Today I masked up and sprayed some Humbrol deep red #20. Nice.

Not to bad a finish if I say so myself!

Oh dear Ian. I shouldn't laugh but ..... :)

I'm glad you have managed to salvage the paintwork.

Oops! I bet the air turned blue after the putty mix up.

Paint to the left, adhesives center, fillers and abrasives to the right w/brushes & sharp tools. All other tools affixed to bench front. Lessons learned over 70 years of modeling.

Thanks chaps.
The best of it is that the filler and the polish are in two different compartments. Same draw but in each there own 'room' in my defence the only real difference twixt the two are one has a white cap, the other blue. Oh and the smell :cautious:
Anyhow...

A few tatty bits at the joint line between the cream and crimson... Didn't do quite as clean a cut as I thought I did. The end of the center stripe needs sorting as well.

Understood same drawer different compartment. Have mixed up enamels & acrylics till I wrote on the caps which was which. Came out great.

Anywho.
It is blowing like a blowy thing outside. One of the disadvantages of Island life. Coastal winds Right up off the Baltic.
My quickset CA has turned into slow set!

Just sitting there looking at the colour difference...Hmph! I'll just say its a trick of the light. No one will know... lol

Been below zero F all week, -7F this AM, so man cave is down to 51F. Too cold to do anything there.
