I know John is doing some proper modelling to turn one of these out for the Simon T group build, but here is my assembly of the ICM kit. It's my first attempt at anything in 1/35 scale in the best part of forty years. The rubber band tracks gave the most trouble being seemingly too short for the introduction of any slack and its quite obvious where I have bodged my way around it. I looked at alternative tracks but they seemed a bit expensive. Thinking about it now, perhaps I should have just shelled out the extra. Maybe next time.

I started this quite a few months back, but I don't tend to much modelling in the summer. Finally got it finished up in the last few days. Airbrushed with Model Air 4BO with weathering attempts courtesy of oil brushers. The tracks went through many painting iterations before I was anything like satisfied.

Here are the pics:

Nick,
the tracks are a weak point of the ICM model - I too looked at replacements ( I have the T-34/76 in the stash ) - all pretty expensive but eventually, I found these..........................

They took an age coming from the Russian Federation, but they were worth the wait! The seller has most types of T-34 tracks most confusing!
Dave
ps in the past, I have stretched tracks - hanging a heavy(ish) weight on the suspended track length & leaving for a day or so - it's very much trial & error, but can get you out of an impossible position!

Lovely work Nick. Liking the attention to detail. Shame about the tracks

Thanks Steve.

That's a great find, Dave, on the replacement tracks. And an excellent tip too. Thanks.

Cheers,
Nick

Nick,
I ordered them 22nd August & they arrived 28th September!

They are separate links not 'working', but at that price, I wouldn't expect that!

Dave,
Brilliant work, I really do like the finish and choice of subject.
Mike.
