So finally some pics from Brampton two weeks ago,. This is the first time I have done the Brampton show - given how it went I might be going back next year.
It's probably the best show I have been to in a while. It was very busy, and unlike most shows it was still going pretty strong well after 3. There were a lot of tables from both clubs and special interest groups that focus on a particular topic there, as well as a good number of traders, and so there was a great vibe for the whole day.

This will hopefully you an idea of the number of clubs there....I couldn't even get the whole of the main hall in one shot.
This is probably my favourite model, a scratch built model of what I understand to be the only remaining UK standing radar tower from WW2.

And the best of the rest...
The table next to us were a pair of guys that do fully working scale scratch replicas of inter-war aero engines....so more engineering than modelling but all the more impressive. Just a shame that they couldn't have them working....spinning propellers not being particularly safe in confined spaces.....
The SIG 144 only works in 1/144 scale......bonkers if you ask me!! Oh and most of the planes are hand made in wood by one of the members.

Apparently the decals on this are actually made by the person who designed the markings in real life....
