Evening,

Does anyone know how early I need to get to the IPMS show in Telford to avoid the traffic?

I seem to remember reading some time ago somewhere that traffic becomes a nightmare and you need to get there "very early" in order to park etc, but I can't find the article and i'm trying to get a feel for what time early is from anyone who's been there before.

You are right though, the carpark is full within the hour and parking around the centre costs a small fortune, has anyone thought of car sharing?

I have a car full with the wife & kids! they all want to come along.

I keep trying to convince her that I could spent her entrance fee on some weathering kit or something but she's having none of it, at least the kids can be employed to carry all the stuff i'm planning on buying!

I'll be there from Friday onwards with IPMS Farnborough - we hire a minibus to take half a dozen of us plus models up and have a block booking at the Holiday Inn. On the way back on Monday we plan to stop of at Cosford

Cool, I know there is a dinner on the evening but I was wondering if any people meet up for a bevvie?

Last year I left Southend at 5am and got there at 9am.Then I had to wait an hour to get in as it was IPMS members only entrance at 9!.The rest of us had to wait till 10 to get in.This year I've joined the IPMS so I can get in early.Last year there was plenty of parking at 9am.but I spotted a multi story just outside the show ground and parked there instead.im for meeting up for a photo/chat if anyone else is interested ?.

Thanks Dave, thats good to know. I have just joined too, i'm only hoping I haven't left it to late for my membership to turn up!

Gaz.Took about a week for my membership card to turn up after applying on line.

hi out intrest im heading up on saturday from gloucester leaving bout 9 ish whats traffic like around show and parking ???? did want leave bit earlier but cant due to kids lol

Its right next to Telford shopping centre so parking a nd traffic could be aq little heavy, if you take my advice get off the M%$ at jct 4 and follow signs in from there, the centre will be on your left then, if you miss 4 get off at 5 and follow ring road and then bear left after the multistory carpark, its next to the ice rink.
