It’s been a while now since we moved the forum, hopefully everyone is finding their way around and it wasn’t too much of an upheaval?

The site is currently on a vb hosted package, we have used 15gb of bandwidth since moving here and only have 75gb to use for the month, it was always the plan to move back to my server once everything was transferred and working, today I did a test move, from requesting the back up it took less than 1 1/2 hours, zero posts lost and zero images lost, currently on the site somethings run slow, if I do a new topics search I get Search Results: 33 results in 10.8997 seconds. I did the same search on the site I transferred and it was less than 1/2 second, big difference.

I won’t be doing anything for a week or two just to make sure things are working 100% because it’s easier and quicker it will be going back to the old domain scale-models.co.uk

Now I'm using the correct URL everything is Ticketie-Boo for me. Getting used to posting, editing and adding attachments.
I'm a happy bunny.

I'm quite happy with things now. Still finding out about how it all works but no problems.

I'm happy with the new site. I'm still learning as I go but haven't come across anything stopping me doing things so far. Tbh it's the same as when I joined the site a few years ago.

Within a few weeks I won't remember what it used to be like.

Yes, settling in nicely. As you say, some searches can seem a little slow (although lightning fast compared to the early days of the Internet! :D) but everything else seems great now that you've tweaked here & there.

I have to say that I'm not keen on the emoji, but that's a personal thing.

I seem to be able to find everything I have needed so far, so I think I'm good to go. :)

Working OK for me. Most of it is similar to other interfaces I’ve used, so it’s not unfamiliar.

Having just made that last post, I have spotted something new and tbh I'm feeling a little left out :(. Can someone please let me know what that little icon is for on the Right of people's names next to their Avatar.

Hi everyone I haven’t been on here for a while but thought I’d come and see what the new place looks like. I’m a bit bemused by the size of the photos on some of the posts I visited. They seem to be very small. I can barely make anything out. I view via my iPad and iPhone. Am I doing something wrong ???

All my old threads the pics are thumbnail and blurry. Not very happy with that.

YES ITS the same for me john im afraid but im tryin to learn as i go but qeustions is it still the same way to post a pic an will the pics come up full size ?

John has mentioned it somewhere but I can't find it. Any images posted on the old forum couldn't be imported properly onto here. Something about the format xenforo used.

Chris, I don't know how you actually post an image, in that I don't know how you store images on your PC.
Basically. You put the images you wish to post in a location on your PC that is easy to locate. For me, I put them onto my desktop.

I have circled the images I used for putting in my Helix thread.

On the post you wish to insert a picture, Select Upload Attachments. You will get a pop up box of your PC, navigate to where your images are and select one. It will then up load to the forum and when that is done you will see a small thumbnail image with the choice of size, small - medium - large - actual size. Choose one and it will appear in the thread!!

Not dissimilar to the last forum really. Give it a try in the testing thread and good luck.
