Hi folks!!!


Here comes a new "member" of my long-term project "100 Years Turkish Air Force in 1/48 scale". It's the RF-4E Phantom from Italeri. The construction isn't quite easy 'cause the fit, especially around the nose, is really lousy. The canopy can't be built in closed position and also in opened position it was very difficult.......and I botched it up a little bit...
The Turkish RF-4E come from german stock and are still in use today. My model shows an aircraft of the 173. Filo (Squadron), Malatya Erac AB in 2002.

That is one super cool aircraft there Stefan. Love the clean look and the base and figures really help complement the model.

Great job Stefan. The base really helps it as well. So, I have to go to Turkey to see a Phantom flying, something I've never seen.

Loving this Stefan. There's a Phantom GB next year, this should provide some inspiration.
