Ok, so I binned the crappy Bell and will start on this next. I added a few bits of extra PE from Eduard. Got PE for the Seatbelts, Cockpit and exterior and the canopy masks.

There are some 3d cockpit decals I saw too, has anyone tried those?

Anyway, not really started yet, I was working out which paints I have and need and got distracted, by deciding to catalog paints and models with Obsidian

Any suggestions on how to create something that would sit here with sufficient weight?

If you check my 1/72 Warthog Neil, I jammed weights in behind the cockpit and secured them by cementing scraps of sprue/runner. So long as the weight is ahead of the main wheels you should be okay, but you will need more weight added if you can't add any to the suggested nose area. Highly unlikely, but it could compromise the strength of the landing gear legs.

And that’s it until after Christmas. I hope you all have a good Christmas, however and whoever you celebrate with.

Also been priming and airbrushing the interiors around the engine mounts and the undercarriage bay - but there is a load of PE to go there too.

I am late to the party on this one Neil. Chair now pulled up and following along. Looking good so far.

Been slacking but at it again today with the never ending PE

Major panic when I couldn’t find the clear sprue, I was seriously looking up if I could get hold of another somewhere when I thought I’d have a check on other boxes from the stash, just in case… and thankfully, it was in another box.

The lesson (which I will surely not learn), is one open kit at a time!

No photos, but there has been progress, but I might decide to leave some of the PE off

Nip down to the nearest shop that deals with fishing items and pick up some weights, they can then be moulded with the help of a pair of pliers into the shape you need... HTH

I made a mistake with my CA - I’m using Green Stuff World and other works great with their nozzles - but last time I must have not cleaned the cap correctly - and now it is sealed :LOL:

I’ll buy some more and at least I will have spare.

There are a few pieces to add before masking the office, and wheel bays and then priming the whole. The munitions and pylons are all glued, canopy masked and PE added to the undercarriage. Hopefully ready to prime at the weekend.

I wasn’t sure about the formation lights - I added these (PE) but now I’m wondering if they should have been added once it is painted and with gloss varnish?

Edit - looks like they should be last. I may remove them and then get the Quinta ones and add them last.
