Tomorrow, being an extra day off, I will get the dark ghost grey. I also managed to rescue the pylons with bad white airbrushing, I reverted to Tamiya thinners which just flowed better. So all the munitions to do, undercarriage to complete and fit.

However, next weekend will be the P47 so this will take a break for a bit.

It is one big bugger - I am going to need to rearrange some lego heads or put another shelf up when it’s done.

Looks good Neil , you’re right though it is a very subtle change from dark to light ghost grey 😵‍💫

Looking at colour swatches online - they really are very close. I only painted the light grey today so maybe it will cure and be more distinct, and adding in the gloss varnish may make them more distinctive. Of course, it could be that they really should be that similar. Next weekend is the start of the GB so this one will be on the shelf for bit now.

Coming along nicely Neil. Looks to be some good detail on this kit

I've been looking at this again now that the P47 is complete, and the two-tone grey really does not show up at all well painted with Mr Color AirColor light and dark ghost grey - and I'm tempted to prime it again with black. Has anyone had any experience of using two-tone greys and not getting a decent contrast? I do have a darker grey I could use instead. rather than reprime.

I used Mr Color lacquers on my two-tone A-10 Neil. The Dark ghost Grey is C307, and the Light Ghost Grey C308. The contrast isn't huge but the colours are accurate. Looking at mine, I have slightly more contrast in the colours. The colours darken naturally under a gloss varnish.
