A quick update.
The cab area is all painted (some love the colour some dislike it - I love it) and the bed is done to the best of my abilities. Not 100 % happy with it but once buttoned up its virtually invisible.

Wonderfull work on the Actros. Looking for more.
Horrible truck to work with, could not pull the skin of a rice pudding, and as draughty as a colander, thank the saints we were only having a try of one or two....

A very over rated badge IMHO

Don't know much about the trucks but, prior to getting into bed with Chrysler, the cars were phenomally well built and lasted forever if properly maintained.
My dad bought a 350SE brand new in 1970 and sold it 40 years later with just over 1 million miles on it for more than the initial purchase price. It was in rust free excellent condition and the only unusual items changed were shock absorbers, propshsft bearing and semi auto choke mechanism. New oil and filter every 6000 miles and when the new owner opened the engine he could not measure any discernible bore wear.
