I’ve always found it doesn’t matter what you call a cat, they eventually generate their own name, hence “the chairman”......

Funnily enough our cat knows his name and comes when called...sometimes, he looks up when you call him, he also sits when he is told and loves chasing a ball outside...sure he is part dog.

Forgot to add these two pics were taken last Christmas, he was playing with presents under the tree and then decided to play with rug...which he knows is naughty, hence the "I've been caught!" look. The one where he is sat at the table is from Christmas day...he is waiting for his dinner.

What is it with cats and boxes??
Most really like to go into them, probably because it shelters them from all sides. The two I have now (since about four months), though, don’t seem to care for boxes at all. One pretty much ignores them, the other looks and sometimes jumps into them, and when he’s done exploring he just jumps right out again, then ignores them.

And yes...Tigs also likes boxes...here he is mooching around in one while I was trying to sort stuff, he ended up getting lifted out, more than once and then he walked off in a huff.

I spent £50 on this ace climbing combined house, platform thingy and he totally ignored it...all he wants is his igloo house and and old cardboard box that he chews to pieces...cats eh?

You know the only thing that Tigs scratches is the bottom of the bed, he never touches any furniture. We have a deep pile coconut mat by the front door and he uses that to clean his claws, he also has his own in the kitchen and he uses that too.

The only really naughty thing is that he kneads and then pushes his claws into the wallpaper on the stairs, of course it would be the rather expensive paper he decided that he liked, not ripped just small claw puncture marks.

Here he is after a bollocking for doing it.

They are buggers Peter...and then when you look at them...as in your picture, you would think butter wouldn't melt in their mouths...yeah right.

Great posts, .
Thank for posting .
Long time since we had cats, I remember one who shoot up cutains , then get his claws caught . :surprised:
These days it's just 30 odd fish in the pond, highly trained in doing nothing....... But eat this time of the year .
John.

Don’t know why you are recycling this one Peter, the batteries obviously still have life left....
