We are once again at that time of the year where I need to start thinking about the Group builds for the coming calender year.

First I would like to say a big well done to those that have taken part in this years 'challenges'.

Give yourself's a round of applause.

2014 is not that far away so we have actually a lot to sort out in the time left, as I would per normal like to get the list published in time for you to be able to write to father Christmas if you so wish.

BEFORE you all start burying me in thousands of suggestions I have a question or three I would like answers to.

Are we all happy with the four a year three months each format?

Alternative 1). Each quarter will have two GB subjects. Far from each other. One as they are now, a subject that is open to reasonably free interpretation, the other a single type build. ie every one building the same subject. (I still consider this as the true group build. and think back to the very first ever GB. in which every one built an Fw 190. Also the spontaneous Spitfire 22 build that just sort of happened).

Alternative 2). Keep to four (or more) but start them all the first of January and have them run a full year.

Please vote they are your GB's

Please note that I am only fishing for ideas for the format in this poll.

There is a separate thread for build ideas.

I quite like alternative 1, two per quarter and a completely different theme.

I kinda thought the SIG builds were designed for those that like to be more specific with the build options?

the trouble is Dave that not a lot of suggestions have come from that- it seems it was a bad idea.

So Group builds ?

im new to the forum. what are these group builds?
We all build a common subject as a kind of cyber club night. The idea was to be able to help each other out by building the same subject. Its a bit watered down these days but we all enjoy the Group togetherness....

Have a look through the threads for the GB builds and you will get the idea.

The changes are always a good thing... I like the first alternative option!
