Decals on, but not without issues. As I discovered early in the build, these are very thin and delicate decals, not the usual thick type that Tamiya often supply. They hate handling and decal solutions. I started with the JG301 ID band, knowing this would be the one that would break if any were going to. Soaked in warm water, prepped the area with water, no solution. It went on okay to begin with, but it was impossible to manoeuvre after a few seconds, and then proceeded to disintegrate. So did one of the swastikas. I used a spare for the swastika, masked off and sprayed the fuselage bands. The remainder of the decals were soaked in cold water, I was very careful not to apply them until they were totally free moving on the paper. Even so you only get 30 seconds or so to place them before they decide to make wherever they are their home. I also blindly followed the decal numbering and made an error with the wing walk way markings, but they are in their permanent homes and there they shall stay. I'll try to find something in my spare decal box. In the meantime, here we are, with a very sparing amount of decal solution overnight.

Great work Joe. You nailed the camo and top marks for battling on with the decals. Looks amazing mate.
