Hawker Sea Hurricane IIC NF728. It was serving with an Operational Conversion Unit in 1944 on board HMS Ravager when it was struck by Sea Hurricane IIC NF722 which overran on landing. I have no other information but it could have been written off. The Sea Hurricane OCU not only trained Fleet Air Arm pilots (or those seconded to the RN) in deck operations, but also in the live firing of rocket projectiles and aerial combat.

While not really a plane guy, She looks Great! Especially for 1/72! Hawkers were always my faves ;)

Great build Joe..rather explicit pics, R18.

The grime streaks are well done and the windscreen looks a good job, I wish I could build aircraft.

That is a nice hurricane, and your pictures there looks like my wife has parked them on the deck.

That's a beauty Joe nicly painted I really like this :)

There are simply not enough hurricanes built on here :D

From those photos I'd say a like of paint and a plaster and that would be fine

In that last pic, you just know the bloke in the overalls is rubbing his chin, sucking his teeth and saying something along the lines of "well Guv, it's going to set you back a bit, bit of a job but I can get my lads on it next week?"

Lovely little build though.

Cheers guys. I was particularly happy with the decal paper cockpit framing, first time I've tried it and it was easier than I thought. Will definitely be using that technique again on some old Airfix kits I have which lack framing for masking.
