Hey guys, I have noticed a small run in my Klear coat, is there any way of removing it other than sanding the area down?

TIA

Soak it in klear, let it sit a few minutes, wipe clean, repaint, it dissolves in itself. Alternatively a 6% ammonia solution or window cleaner with ammonia will dissolve it.

Depending on size of run and location, I would try sanding just the run with a suitable grade wet and dry and a touch up with Klear coat.

Okay, thanks guys. It's a small run but looks considerable on 1/72 scale. Fingers crossed :)

If its the Klear as in floor polish, as M1ks said it will dissolve its self, so just give it a bath in some more and once soft wash it off.

If its a clear varnish, wet and dry will be the way to go.

It's Klear floor polish Ian. It's only on one small area, so I'll put just a drop on the area and leave it for what, a few mins?

If that fails it's wet and dry.

Happens to me all the time!

Cotton bud moistened with a dilute ammonia solution,as per m1ks,followed by a fresh coat works for me.

Cheers
