hi all

Happy VE Day.

a slight distraction for me; a couple of days ago I came across this 54mm figure which I had forgotten I had! Painted in Valljo acrylics Using a make of brush whihc is new to me: Rosemary &co, Kolinsky sable series 33, size1, very nice brush which I recommend.

Now, back to the Huey

Lovely painting! - The pose - hmm, looks a bit modern? leaning against a post, ankles crossed?, and why would he be holding his sword like that?

Nice job. I’ve been using Rosemary & Co brushes for a few years now. I’ve settled on series 93 sizes 1, 0, and 00 For my 28’s and 15’s And have a couple of each in use. I get at least a year out of these brushes, using them every day and mostly using size 00. I’ve used their series 903 and 101 but not found them so good. I also find the series 93 sizes 2 and above are not as good at holding their shape and point. May have to invest in some Raphael or Windsor and Newtons for that size...or perhaps try Broken Toad or Handover sables, which are slightly cheaper...
