Can anyone advise, how long is the best time to leave lacquer paints to dry before the next coat be it paint or varnish. 1 day or more??

Pretty much straight away Bob. Once they are dry, they are dry. Not like water based acrylics that need additional curing time.

If you are masking I'd probably leave it an hour to be on the safe side but I've done 3 colour camo and clearcoat/varnish in a day.

I should add, that's assuming you are airbrushing.

With a hairy stick your new coat of paint will always soften what's underneath and could lift it unless you're super quick and careful, even if you've left it for a year!

Yes airbrushing. Really like the finish very smooth and easy to thin just 50 / 50!

One point to add to lacquer paint is that even cured for a year, lacquer thinners can agitate it. That's why any hardened lacquer paints in the bottle can be rescusitated to life again.
