Thank you all for your comments about the model and Zoë too.

I've got a bit further with this. I haven't attached the roof just yet as I'm still deciding on what to build in the load area. The bike has had a bit more detailing and given a storage rack. I've also made a few additional items like the front mounted winch, snorkel, and modern LED light bar above the cab.

The wheels are now on. The LR axles were far too thin to fit in the backs of the wheels. I wanted to fix them in place with something that would give me time to position and line them all up, but was viscous enough to fill the gaps without oozing out like slow CA might. In the end I used green stuff, which gave me plenty of time to align everything but was strong enough to hold the wheels in place while it sets.

Thanks guys, I'm glad you're liking it so far.

A mate asked me last night if I was going to weather it. I'll probably go for a minimal amount as I want it to look used, but very well cared for, so more than likely just a light dusting.

That is alovely conversion, reminds me of similar rigs in Kenya which were used when we went on a balloon flight over the Masai Mara reserve on our honeymoon.
The balloon equipment in the trailer and a full dining table and accoutrements in the Landie with a fridge for the champagne breakfast we had upon landing.
Thanks for dredging up the memories of a special day.

I woke up to one issue this morning. The position of the trailer axle and the weight of the bike is clearly too much for the plastic towing hitch so the trailer had sagged nose down overnight. I've added some weight to the rear, in the form of lead strips used to weigh aquarium plants down, and will see how it goes. If needed I'll make a new hitch from metal wire.

I'll need to be mindful of this when loading the roof rack, keeping it fairly balanced.

Thanks again gents.

I've finished the roof load. Some is from a bag of resin stowage rejects I have, so the quality isn't great. Some is scratchbuilt (so even worse lol), and there are a few nice Value Gear pieces.

Once the glue has finally set (my newly acquired Bsi is taking more like 5-10 minutes rather than seconds ), I'll add some kind of straps
