Latest Acquisitions (2019)

Some nice hauls so far this year. Here's mine @ 10% discount couldn't resist, but needed the paint for ongoing projects. New Tamiya German camo colours and same from AK Reals Colors, to try these and see how the hues are.

An after Christmas surprise also from evilbay that came in at €19,40. Interesting vehicle with a solid mounted Pak 39 gun (no recoil system) that didn't fare too well...

After testing, they were re-armed with normal guns (with recoil system) and sent to KG Milowitz Prague, in April 1945. One also had the Tatra 928, V-8 air cooled diesel motor in the back. The other 13 had the Skoda 4 banger in them...

Prost

Cheers Monica, for my brush painting I almost exclusively use Vallejo, but very hesitant to use it in airbrushes. I've used Tamiya for airbrushimg for many years. Cleans up easily. Will now try this AK stuff for the first time, wish me luck:smiling:.

Don’t try the standard Vallejo paint in an airbrush — I tried the other week and had nothing but trouble trying to get it to spray at all rather than clog up the nozzle. Vallejo Model Air, though, sprays really well straight from the bottle.

oh how true you, are, had my amount of battles with it,:fearful:

I’ve used this along with Vallejo paints and some Vallejo thinner with very much success. The Vallejo model Air has been good for me as well.View attachment 325383

I've used Vallejo Model Color, thinned with tap water for many years. It takes a bit of experiment to get the mix right, but works OK for me. I generally mix up a small amount in a small plastic bottle ( and steel ball agitator ). It only lasts for a few days, so I ditch any remainder, and recycle bottle & ball

as soon as I,saw this just had to have,1.35 scale,
the picture says it all,so cool,:smiling5:

That’s the figure that’s also a “bonus” with that T-90 kit from Meng, isn’t it?

OK, not state of the art - a reboxing of the 80's Matchbox kit

I'd wanted to make the original for a while, but collectors had driven the price up!. So, when this popped up at the miserly sum of £12.99 delivered, from the well known Brazilian river sales emporium, I didn't hesitate.
I will say it needs a bit of work, but at that price....................................

If they reissued the Skyraider, I had some hopes they might have reissued the Kaman SH-2F Sea Sprite as well, which I think is the only 1/48 scale Matchbox kit I ever built, and have fond memories of. Alas, though, Revell’s web site doesn’t list it.

Jakko,
I agree with you on the Seasprite, the only other 1/48 models are the Kitty Hawk versions, which don't have good reviews, and run at the £35-40 mark
