Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2020)

Another 109 for more airbrushing practice. Quality appears excellent. Might be a queue jumper ...

Alan,
That Schnellboot is a great kit!
I did one a few years back for a Group Build and thoroughly enjoyed it:thumb2:,
Cheers,
Andy

Postie was good to me again today.......

The Tractor is probably as old as me!! But i`ve wanted to do one since i first saw them!
The Pershing is for a Dio which i want to set in Aachen or Remagen,(Undecided yet!),I wanted a US Tank but NOT a Sherman and this one fits the bill....... Looks a nice kit too!
Cheers,
Andy

Yeah Lee, I think you've gone a little Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiingy!!!:tongue-out3: Have fun with those, it was like being in the hobby shop in 1965 all over again. Rick H.

Rick. Well the typhoon was made in 1968 the same year I was made lol. After I complete the Revell Thunderbolt I’ll have a surprise on the next Revell Vintage Wingy thing. These old kits are fun to build despite there short comings. Stay tune there’s more on the way

Because I think historical accuracy is important:

More excellent service from John saw these supplies arriving today. Back at work now though after only working two days in the last four weeks so probably won't be getting any use before the weekend.

Hopefully this 0.2 airbrush needle won't roll off my bench onto the concrete floor in the workshop....

After finally admitting to myself that i'm blind as a bat. I decided to purchase these 5 lens magnifier glasses. First impressions are that they are comfortable and just what i needed. Yes i have a desktop magnifying lamp. But i am finding it more and more of a pain in the back using it. So reading a few posts on here and seeing John get them back into the shop, i bought one. Also grabbed some RLM 24 for a Fw190 build i have planned (surprise surprise), paint brushes and some 0.4mm drills.

Excellent service from John yet again, especially with the postal system as it is at this time.

Alan,
On me second pair now. They are good - use mine with the headband rather than
the "ear stalks" !!!! That's how the first pair failed. :flushed:

You won't regret buying those spec Alan, I use mine in conjunction with the bench magnifier, couldn't be with out it now. Tell me how you get on with the 3.5 lens, I find that a little too strong , my preferred lens is the 2.5.

Reading that John, we're all different - I find the 2.0 ideal - the 3.5 is far too powerful - I can see the
red blood cells through me skin!! :flushed: :rolling: :face-with-head-bandage: or was that 'cos I misjudged whilst using the scalpel?
;)

Decided to build something completely different for me.

:smiling2::smiling2::smiling2::nerd::nerd:

It is going to be different though, going to convert it to an ARV. DEF have a conversion kit, but having spoken to my technical advisor in the Fatherland he thinks I can make it using plastic sheet, instead of the resin one in the kit. The turret not being use , but the turret hatches from the Tamiya are, should be fun. This time std tracks cos there will be loads of mud !

That 3.5 is evil Paul, gave me a head ache after 30 mins.
