Latest Acquisitions (2021)

Much excitement here at Race Towers, a long awaited parcel from Jadar Hobbies in Poland. Must say the packaging was perfect for such a long journey.

Many of you will remember this from another forum , last time it was in 1/72, managed to find it in 1.35 by the same maker. Not Russian but an odd ball so worth doing.
Now wheres that grey, Bob have you got any spare ?:smiling2:

Of course I had to have this next one.

Looks like a T60 chassis, the instructions look fun, not !

Plastic link and length tracks, this time I am determined to do they, even as small as they are.

I’ve got one of those in the stash, minus the box. My current intention is to use it to replicate this photo with a Takom M31 TRV:

The BM-8-24 looks like a pain … a long time ago I built what I think is the basic tank kit this is based on, and it wasn’t great.

I said I wasn't going to get any more 1/700 ship models, but people will insist on putting things on ebay, that are a bargain!

£12.50 delivered - parts still sealed in polybags. Can't say I remember making a modern Russian ship, so this will be new - surprisingly big!

Had a pleasant surprise from the payroll guy at the college i retired from, backpay from a payrise given when was still on the books and they miscalcuated the holiday pay, so a very nice payment into the bank. So with it I just had to spend it

From Ebay, cheapest i have seen this outside of Japan plus a 15% discount voucher taking nearly £35 off and its a beast

Some will think i am nuts and be right lol, intened to buy this at some stage so at the price and my extra cash, what the hell. Got a few to build and hone my meaque skills before taking the glue to this!!

Very nice bob :thumb2: looks like a lovely kit, still a bit rich for me but you gotta treat yourself now and again.

Price of it I think they should present it to you on a velvet cushion by a man wearing white gloves lol, love to see this when you get it underway .

Hi Mark, not cheap but compared to other suppliers it was lol

Not yet, got Tashkent and Graf Spee then KGV to go before i even think of it lol

Wow, I think some of you guys here are having a bad influence on me!!!...But hey, you do live only once. I think the post lady hates me with all the packages she delivers too. Two today and I have been waiting for this,

Now I can finally clear up the Stau for the hissy stick. Came with three extra filters, LED light (kinda weak), turntable and folds up into a suitcase type affair with handle to move it around. The power cable is cool as it's spring loaded and retracts into the back with a push of a button like a vacuum cleaner. Sure beats the hell out of old (dark inside) cardboard box I've been using. This showed up too,

Now in my defense, I have put my Tamiya Panther early G with a Verlinden resin Zimmerit set in evilbay to equal out the purchase price. I have other kits for sale in evilbay too!!!!!.........Still no hope for me though..............................

I have a non led version and think they're brilliant for the price.

I get around a lack of light by shining two bright desk lamps in through the plastic lid. It works really well at the plastic diffusers the light and so removes the shadow effect from what are effectively two spotlights. It works very, very well indeed.

Thanks for the good idea Andrew. I'll have to look around to see what I can find for lamps. I think Lidl still has an LED lamp that might work. I hope you and the family are well and you and Junior keep up the great work. I have been absent for a while and every time I want to catch up in the evenings, I end up asleep at the table. You are right too about the price, it can't be beat. Take care Sir...

Dude 2, I think you know me by now......I am trying my hardest to reduce the stash, but evilbay isn't helping. Murfies right!!!
