Just back from a couple of days away in Dorset with my daughter and granddaughter , and what should we pass on the way out yesterday?
Bovington Tank Museum!
I knew it was in the vicinity but with only two days together I was not going to make a big deal about it.
BUT
in the morning we went to Lulworth Cove and got totally drenched in about 30 seconds. Then we went soddenly to Swanage, which was nice, but we were SO done by 2.30 and home by 3. SWMBO, (bless her) suggested I take myself off to the Tank Museum whilst they all had a sauna- my kind of deal.
I've never been so it was real treat- especially the gift shop which had more model kits and accessories than I have seen in one place (apart from home-OBVS :rolling: )for many a year.
I tried REALLY hard, but I couldn't find anything I really wanted, tanks not being my thang but I did get this.

I was hopeful it would fit my D-Day GB Landing craft, but it's about 3mm too short. :tired:
never mind, it was half price! I'm sure I'll find something for it eventually.
Still, a good day!

With a domestic situation ongoing (nothing serious) and the Sword Lightning T5 presenting challenges associated with short run kits I needed a 'quick fix'! as many of you may know I'm quite a speed builder usually turning round a kit in a week, this is usually quite simple as my preference is for 'classic' kits from my boyhood, so, second hand for around a tenner I got this one

A 1981 pressing of the 1967 mold Hasegawa Lightning F6, widely regarded as the 'definitive' Lightning in 1/72 for over fifty years!

This one will be another stress free 'what if''s

Got a couple of new additions to the tool box

1 - ANYZ Super Precision Tweezers
2 - EZ line (I have no use for it now but thought it looked cool and would be handy to have. Yes shopping at 3am isn't advised)
3 - Infini sanding holder things..

Just arrived a Tamiya 1/35 Japan Ground Light Armoured Vehicle.
Just the other day, on another forum I saw someone post about building this. His verdict, and I quote, “Typical Tamiya, everything just falls into place, even without glue.”

WooHoo!!

Hello,
fresh from the mailman new mini wargaming models.

I seem to have some kind of problem. As long as Revell's stuff is available, I'm not really interested in it. Only when they're discontinued and fetch "collector's prices" do I suddenly realize that I need them..
Is there an important sounding Latinum word for this? :tongue-out3::tears-of-joy:
Best regards,
Andreas

I know modelling products often come with a premium price tag for a reason but I'm going to give these rattle can clears a go. I got them for about the same price as the Mr Super Clear cans I've had before but they contain more than double the amount.

I'm also trying out an airbrush clear - Upol Smart Clear. So far results have shown it to give nearly as good a finish as the Mr Color GX-100 I normally use, but it works out around 1/10th the price.

I blame @Tim Marlow ...... :tongue-out2:

at £4.99 for 18 brushes it's hardly going to make me cry if they don't work for dry-brushing.
Obviously I will take full responsibility if they fail - a bad workman blames his tools....

Here at the Towers great excitement has prevailed as the book found by @Gary MacKenzie has arrived.

Although I have the articles first printed in MM , these are the full set. Cost a lot but worth every £.
Much happiness
