Some more items turned up today, the Wife is starting to notice! Lol..... 🤣
So as I am a self confessed gadget and tool geek, I had to get the Dspiae reciprocating sander.

Next to arrive was some Corks, I got three different sizes, I was struggling to find anything to hold my 1:16 figure whilst painting, eg: blutac didn't work and foam didn't either, (kept flopping and working loose!) but Cork is that that little bit denser, so looks ideal for the job.

Next up was make-up sponges, (no not for me at the weekends), but after advice from this very forum, to use them to wipe off excess oil paints, etc.

Then we have some mini (100mm) clamps, as again, I have sometimes struggled to find something adequate to help to hold a part together whilst gluing, etc. I have those very small clamps on the end of sticks, I also have a couple of clothes pegs, and I also have a couple of very little mini clamps, but all were not ideal or too small. These 100mm clamps are exactly the same as the larger ones and feel very sturdy and look ideal for those larger parts that need holding/clamping.

Next up was, again after recommendations from this forum, some "The Master" brush cleaner and conditioner.

Lastly I bought this a few days ago, a nice small model making fine saw, has a few different blades and seems well built and sturdy.

Popped out to do some shopping, local Lidl, but no Xmas Airfix kits in mine yet, maybe next week, but then went to Aldi and Yah! they did have the little Airfix Xmas starter kits, so bagged myself the Spit and the Tomahawk, £6 each (or as my mate used to say an unwell Octopus, eg: sick squid!)
Pics are stock from the Aldi website, not the actual ones I bought, not photographed them yet.

And the parcels just keep coming....! 😉
As I have now doubled my desk space, I thought a new paint/tool stand would be good, so via our very own SMS I got a tool holder/stand and a paint holder stand that will neatly fit on top, (Hobbycraft I think). Just glueing them up in the garage.....

And also via our very own SMS, a new (spare) pair of nippers and some Tamiya paint brush conditioner. I actually bought this before the forum recommended The Master (B&J) brush paint stuff!!! So I now have two lots...!

Todays wallet / income reduction strategy was to buy some Revell specific paint, as I want to use the paints recommended in the instructions for my current build (Revell German Half Track), so came home with these, (plus some more matt and gloss varnish and a black primer).

Coincidence Andrew :) Saw your post with the circle masks and thought "Good idea" and then checked emails and I had one from Premium Hobbies about the masking circles. So ordered a set of all their sizes.

Thanks chaps!

Jim R - either a great coincidence or big brother really is watching!! I've already used one and was pleased!

Nice! They are though very smelly for water based acrylics.

It's amazing how parcels turn up on their own...... I'm also a regular victim of this disturbing phenomenon!!😂

You'll enjoy the sander, but careful monitoring required as it is very efficient. I found this out to my cost with the 1/48 Airfix Tiger Moth...reach for the filler!

Heads up time cos its lidl time again guys

Theyve got the usual airfix stuff in but also got some revell in......1/24 scale cars and biggish hms victory (which ive had one in the stash for about 15 years so wasnt interested in that lol)

i picked up an e type jag for 19.99......i know they go for double that in hobbycraft

Pics later when i get home

So be quick cos you know they go quick

After nabbing a Spit mk1 and Tomahawk last week in Aldi. Today I went back to Lidl and bagged a DUKw amphibious vehicle and a Foland Gnat T1.

I was good all weekend, did not buy anything, thats a whole two days..... 😆
But today saw a new parcel arrive.
As I now have a few planes to build thought I'd treat myself to a plane stand, one of those 3D jobbies, adjustable, etc.

Delivered on time from 'Scale Model Shop' FineMolds 1/72 Mitsubishi F2B

Mitsubishi-F2b.jpg

I do enjoy a prototype or research aircraft and this one is a fine addition to the stash! One of the first two seater 'super' F-16s developed by Lockheed Martin and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as their Mitsubishi F2B, I have a few 'FineMolds' kits in the stash (F-4EJ F-15J) and this one seems to be a better representative kit than the Hasegawa F2 in 1/72
Although I'm not building much recently due to circumstances beyond my control, adding to the stash is still a thrill and whets my appetite for when I return to the bench!

Miko (in a struggle with Royal Mail over deliveries of stash items!! aarrgghh!!)
