The top 3 kits arrived today, so thats my stash for now, starting from scratch with all the paints, glues, putty's compressor / airbrush and all the other bits and pieces to start this hobby from scratch is pretty expensive I must say! haven't added it all up (Daren't) but it runs into hundreds :smiling: still I know I'm going to enjoy it.
There's a theme in my stash of late ww2 looking to get a doodlebug and some 1/48th scale base vehicles like fuel bowsers and starting trolley to create dioramas later, future ideas are for a Lakenheath F15 and F35 (my local Base)

This was waiting for me in the postbox yesterday, New to me, had no idea of this kit's existence though it's been out for several years. Soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. As you can tell, there's not much trouble to build it. I know nothing really about its history, not just yet....20240124_144548.jpg20240124_144501.jpg20240124_144424.jpg

Spotted these in the window of a local shop, Price was good so I couldn't resist.

Evri just dropped this big parcel off
zvezda marat.jpg I've been looking for this for a long time - they have become harder to find, and prices have risen accordingly. I realised that if I wanted one, I'd have to dig into my pockets! Most expensive model I've bought in several years! Offers & counteroffers on ebay got this for £48 delivered. Not small - 467 parts .................

Good afternoon all

So a couple of arrivals for me, nothing exciting.

The book was a little gift from my mum when I went to see her last weekend.

Me again!

So this this month has been a big month birthday wise in our house as Junioress turned 18 two weekends ago and Junior turned 16 this weekend.

Junior has done pretty well and below are the key items from a 'kit' perspective.....

@John Race - thank you again for the best wishes for Junior. He says thank you very much!

A bit annoyed - model was cheap, p&p high, wpuldn't have minded if had been packaged well. Revell boxes are flimsy at the best of times & this was a bit squashed - but nothing broken, luckily

Well, nothing very exciting, but seeing as there's so much "glass" in my current 111 build,I wanted to make sure it went in cleanly, without frosting.
I've tried PVA,Revell Contacta Clear and AK Crystal Magic.... and not been happy with any of them :disappointed2:,then i saw Phil Flory using this stuff....

.... he seems to get great results with it,so I'll give it a go... fingers crossed :thumb2:.
