Thanks Ian and your telling me, she only admitted this morning that she allowed me to get the latest kit so that she could buy a new cardigan(which cost double the price of the kit) and laughed about it:rolleyes: then asked me if there was something else I wanted:eek:

I have a strong hunch that I am being played:eek:

Here is my latest purchase...

It is the spray booth reviewed by Phil Flory on this News show here:

My main concern about getting one of these is whether it would be big enough for my 1:32 scale aircraft. Having seen it I am satisfied that it will be OK for most but the real test will be my next build the 1:32 Trumpeter Avenger.

The real beauty of this set up is that if it is not big enough I can buy an extension to increase the size. It also is very flexible as it does not require an extractor outlet so it can sit anywhere. Flory's demonstration with this 38watt version shows that it has quite a lot of extraction power too.....

The Fiat 50bis is nearly finished (I will post pics in a day or two)

Hi John

I got it here:

http://www.everythingairbrush.com/

I don't find it particularly noisy. So far though I have only done a spot of testing with it. If you look at the Flory review it gives an idea of the sound it makes. I have to say though I think it is a little less noisy that what I thought it would be.

ive always liked Academy stuff, just about to start one.........never had any problem with them, in fact some are beautiful quality

picked these up today thanks to evilbay

went to pick them up and he asked if i was interested in some other kits he had (silly question)

turns out he is a skip driver for a recycling company...........he had returned to the centre and was dunping a load.....there was @150 kits!! so him and two other guys shared them and hes selling his on ebay

my guess is a modeller died and his widow has just binned his stash!

he had a bin bag that he hadnt even looked in!..........3x Airfix 1/48 Spitfires, 4x P38 Lightnings in 1/48 by various manufacturers!

i am interested in a few more cars and one of the P38's......might make him an offer if i can afford to spend more this month......supposed to not be buying kits this year

My Dad worked on the local council recycling site when I was younger, the stuff he used to bring home was incredible. On one shift he picked up a Tamiya USS Enterprise, King George and Yamato! No idea what happened to the kits :( I expect they ended up fighting battles in the bath
