It stands for Super Special Interest Group, it's like a group build where you have a group build where people get to build kits or dioramas on as certain subject or model , SSIG this year was d day, operation market garden, and WWI , you get a whol year to build something around those fields , if you scrol down the the forums there is a section that will describe it in more detail\ said:Trying not to sound thick but what is SSIG?Sent from me to you
Heard of group build. Thanks. Sounds good fun. I couldn't do this one as my history and war knowledge is non existent!\ said:It stands for Super Special Interest Group, it's like a group build where you have a group build where people get to build kits or dioramas on as certain subject or model , SSIG this year was d day, operation market garden, and WWI , you get a whol year to build something around those fields , if you scrol down the the forums there is a section that will describe it in more detail![]()
You don't have too know about the war just pick a kit and build it for it , there are quite a few airfix kits out that have d day on the box so that will help you , there is also a couple of diorama sets out now with all you need to build a diorama\ said:Heard of group build. Nice one Mike hope to see this one soon\ said:I've been wanting one of these since Special Hobby announced them, several years ago. One of the first Matchbox kits I ever built was their HueyCobra, back in the early 70s, and I've been hoping for a decent, new-tool 1/72 kit since then. Got this on eBay, arrived this morning from Poland; looks superb.
I built the matchbox one when I was a kid if I remember rightly it was a light brown plastic\ said:I've been wanting one of these since Special Hobby announced them, several years ago. I am also getting the eduard Spitfire Mk IX Brassin Gunbay, as this was one area of the kit that was not supplied in styrene. Also, I had previously planned to buy some Brassin sets to accompany this fantastic tooling of the Spitfire.\ said:Recently bought the Eduard Spitfire Mk IX The longest day Limited edition...John
