Aren't those the same figures that were used in the Newark show build?

I had that same 88, sold it and bought the Dragon one with the metal barrel though, luckily I can build it for a SIG next year :)

hi Leo, as in upgraded the air compressor ?was there some type of maintenance you did, ?
No Moni, I bought a new one. The old one starting to make silly noises and gets hot really fast, so I'm gonna use it as a backup

I got these the other week for my model railway layout. They will go with the rest of my Engineer's train with the exception of the SPA open wagon that will go with the steel train that I have assembled. My Engineer's fleet is getting quite big, too big to run on a 6 foot long layout but it can be split into two separate trains if needed.

The steel train is quite a mix too with loaded and empty wagons. I will get round to posting pictures of my stock at some point when I get it out of the loft.

As my Spitfire Mk 1 is nearing completion I decided to get an early Bf 109 to compliment it.

It has finally arrived.

This can be built pretty much OOB, unlike the Spitfire, though 'Weekend Edition' is a bit optimistic! It'll take me a month of weekends :)

Cheers

Very nice, always like seeing your builds come together Steve, it's always great to read the history the you post as well :)

With all these 109's on the go we could have a 109 buddy build :)

I'm keeping an eye on them to see how they go!

I've never built an Eduard Bf 109. I built one of their Fw 190s a few years ago and was so underwhelmed and unimpressed by it that I've steered well clear since. This will be only my second ever Eduard kit :)

The only option in the weekend edition is for a machine flown by Hannes Trautloft during the early stages of the war. He's about as famous as they get, but I may try and find something else.

Cheers

Nice! Ive heard great things about these eduard 109's Steve . They seem to be fantastic value for money although like you ,Ive always found the "weekend" idea a bit baffling . Although an eight year old me would probably have had no trouble - no paint ,no filler ,no worries ,it'd have been hanging from the ceiling by sunday night!!! cheers tony
