Postman came again, poor man

Lastest bits and bobs, thanks to John.

Workbench Organiser

7 x Humbrol Paints

3 x Model Air paints

Multi Pack of Humbrol sable brushes

A4 cutting mat

twin pack of 10,, masking tape

bottle of maskol (Can you tell canopies are coming soon?)

2 packs of Modelcraft G Clamps (Dont know why I bought 4 in total, just wanted to see what they were like)

Loads of charts and leaflets - vbasically anything I could get my hands on for free :)

And for some reason John slipped in a couple of extras, not sure if he made a mistake

Some sandpaper

Tube of cement

In addition while out and about visited my new friend in the book shop and bought a book

US Naval Aircraft 1921-1942 and US Marine Corps Aircraft 1914 - 1959 only £8-95

O, and I also bought some plasters for my fingers and some paracetamol for when Im try to convert the next lot of paint

I also bought a "Groovy chick" mug from a charity shop, so Im looking stylish while I work while also doing my bit for Cancer research. 60p, but gave them a quid.

EDIT - Forgot to add. I also bought a pack of kiddies plasticine to put in nose cones for weighting. I also bought a card index box, some A-Z tabs and cards because you bleeding lot keep posting so much infomation that I cant bookmark all of it, so Im going to write down what I can and store in the box. :)

Nice haul, Penny, lots of good stuff there and the Tracker should be an impressive build. Are you focusing solely on 1/48?

No, my main aim is US Navy 1/48 but every now and then something comes along that doesnt fit. For example, I have on its way a double kit in scale 1/24. Just saw it as a change to the normal stuff I like to do.

Im also planning on one day doing a Blue Angels display so Ill probably go 1/72 for that due to space. Also, some kits I just cant get in 1/48, for example, Id like to do a Galaxy or a globemaster, but not sure my house is big enough :) I also want to do RAF Lakenheath through the ages, which I can do in 1/48 but may try on 1/72 purely for space reasons

Ive gone for 1/48 because I think there is scope to get a little more detail. Ive considered 1/24 as some of those kits are just oozing with detail and features (like for exampe the spitfires with removeable panel showing the engine etc) but I dont seem to find the range of kits that I want exist with a scale that large.

There's also lots of nice stuff in 1/32 (the new Tamiya F-4U Corsair is fantastic), considerably more subjects than in 1/24. For sheer range of subject matter though you can't beat 1/72, especially taking into account all the obscure resin kits in this scale. Many of us mix scales though. I build mainly 72 with an occasional foray into 48, but my last five builds have been 144.

Anyway, I seem to have derailed this thread...

id like to see the walrus go together......should look quite nice in that scale
It looks ok and for £9 you can't argue , no decals but I've got some roundels and the other markings are etched on so you can paint them so that should be interesting :D
