Well here's my bargin list done now until next year :) View attachment 93130View attachment 93131View attachment 93132View attachment 93133the 109 was £10 and it's new tool :) the bucc was £8 and it's the old matchbox one , the walrus was £9 and the hurry was £6 , the F16 was £7 , and the last was a total of £20 :)
I built that SMER Walrus a few years ago.Its a simple kit but it builds into a nice model.I remember it has roundels and squadron code letters engraved into the plastic parts!.I had to fill those in.

Finally got a decent second hand copy of a book I've been after for a while at a reasonable price. No dust jacket hence this picture.

This isn't light reading, but for anyone with an interest in this rather arcane knowledge it is an excellent reference. The contents page will give an idea of what it's about.

Cheers

Steve

While I was at work (3 weeks Boo Hoo) I ordered some kits on e-bay, but because I didnt think they would arrive in time so I had them delivered to my home address, which actually is my plan, some kits at work some at home.

So, imagine my surprise when a moaning landlord handed me a big stack of parcels :)

F-16 and support group bought as a cheap kit. I cant remember the price but I did ask for this to be sent to my home address and should have arrived wednesday. When I mailed the seller asking what happened they told me they posted it to a different address that had been given to them by e-bay and had actually packaged the item before I paid. I said OK not a problem, but they insisted on refunding me, so a cheap kit turned into a very cheap kit

(I dont know why sometimes my images get turned upside down)

The next two ate the A-7 and a Sea Harrier. Obvioulsy the A-7 goes into my US Navy Collection and the Sea Harrier is a model I bought before and never started and it was a nice lookiing kit. Both bought from same seller A-7 £8.51, Sea Harrier £11.01 and £5.00 combined postage costs

F-5F obvioulsy US Navy collection (£15.95 plus £4.30 postage. One of the things that I find exciting about this is camoflague. Ive only ever done camo with a brush and thats the reason I normally stay away from it :) Now I have an airbrush its time add another skill to my CV, so to speak. Well, I say add, lets rephrase that to attempt to try :)

OK, not really sure why I bought this one. Other than the fact that it cost me £11.27 plus £5.99 postage I really dont know. Im not into cars, Im not into racing so Im certainly not into racing cars. Im not really a Lewis Hamilton fan, nor really a Button fan.

But its something a bit different and I suppose its something I can use my airbrush on

Unfortunately I didnt think to take straps with me to work so I wasnt able to bring my toolbox home with me as Im only a motorbike, but Ill spend tonight researching the colours and Ill go back armed with netting and straps and Ill get my toolbox.

Yeah , I've got some roundels but no squdron letters but I think I've got a couple of Royal Navy tags so I think I'll paint the letter and stick the others on if it looks naff it will end up as a sunken wreck , it was only £9 so it's no big loss , I'm waiting to see your hobby boss one :)

Like the look of the f16 free as well can't get a better bargain than that sounds like your next ebay purchase should be a top box for your bike

Naw, got my tools in a toolbox and I own nets and straps so no problem.

Had a bit of a set back with the F-16. Its an old kit and some idiot has removed the protective paper from the two sets of decals and put the inside the instructions and they have stuck to them. Ive pulled them off gently and not sure if I can salvage them. Im sure I could pick up a set of F-16 decals from somewhere. as for the vehicles, not so sure. Still, its a free kit and its USAF so if all efforts fail I can use it to practice weathering on :)

No such thing as a lack of options, just a lack of imagination.

Just bought this handy set of three "Small Parts Trays". Very useful for placing small fiddly parts into so that they dont get accidently knocked around.

They cost £1 for a box of three and as an added bonus they even come with cakes in them, two per tray. Dont know why 2, perhaps they feel you like to share your passion with a friend, or perhaps you are selfish and want to have them all to yourself.
