Yeah, not sure, won't know until I get it all out and dry fit to see how the optics and wiring will go and hide.

Nice Colin I was looking for one of the Hovercraft but going for silly money
I had this kit and swapped it for something crap...regretted it ever since :( and as you say Ian-they go for silly money, even part-mades or just bits go for daft cash!

Just bought this off Evilbay. I've been looking for one for ages after I read the book about the raid on Tokyo........ and got this new for £ 15.00 in postage ....... Trumpeter 1/700 USS HORNET - "Doolittle" ........ only a couple of quid more than the Tamiya, but the Trumpeter is a newer more detailed jobbie.

This is to practice some more rust and some paint bubble effects...will it work, who knows? But for £8 it will be fun.

Always loved the Dodge Monaco and got this one for under £20, most I have seen are well over £20. Going to add lights and flashing light bar...I think.

Si:)
Go for it Si ......... I'd like to see what you do with the 2CV ........ I bloke I worked with a few years back had one in his garage. He was tearing it apart, to fit Engine, transmission and running gear from a V8 Jag he had in the back garden. His plan was to have no front seats (there wasn't room anyway) and drive it from the back seat. I often wondered whether he finished it.

Up with the birds this morning car booting and managed to grab these early bird specials lol.The Starwars stuff not my usual thing but I managed to work my magic on the vendor and beat and ground him down on his prices:) (bargain/steal)and brought all of them as a job lot .Although I'm not a massive fan of sci fi modelling I have to say these look very nice on inspection with nice details and display stands so I might just take one small step into the sci fi world of modelling other than that just additions to the stash :eek:View attachment 113624

£60 all in Tony.I have no idea about prices on star war kits but I thought £60 seemed favourable for 5 large scale star wars kits and 2 1/72 planes.Anyways they brought a smile to my face as I skipped back to my van. :)

like yourself i have no idea when it comes to sci fi kits but it sounds like a bargain to me , less than a tenner each , cheers tony
