A lot of red Jet Provosts around lately. I have the non-starter kit with the grey and orange or red and grey scheme. Looks a nice kit inside the box

Did some last minute black Friday shopping with 15% off... Not much but there were some stuff I needed that I would've ordered anyway.

I bought loads of diorama earth/mud products, a whole lot of paint - this time mainly late Luftwaffe colours because I'm having a go at flying contraptions as well ;)
Also some 1/72 figures, but the real reason I opened the wallet was because of this book!

I've only seen a couple of pages in the book but it should answer many of my vignette/diorama questions I'm having a bit of bother with? If not the pictures alone are worth the money!

Popped into TK Maxx today and left with these two. The hurricane as some very unusual camo on the nose and markings of which I've not seen before. Might pop back in tomorrow as they have the Canberra which I resisted but now can't stop thinking about.;)View attachment 291122

I got the Beaufighter last week at TK Maxx. They are starting to get Airfix stuff more frequently. I'm holding out for a Bictor

I assume that's 'Victor'! I wouldn't hold your breath on that one Rick. I saw one advertised on ebay for £140! Either someone's dreaming or they are really getting that rare.

so im happy.....got my black friday order from kent models

the monkey bike was 8 quid, the Kawasaki z750 was 6!!!

i think the reason he had the kwak in his mega sale was its from a japanese anime/manga but you get the bits to build a choice of this, the other bike in the series or a regular z750....box is bulging with sprues!....if i had known id have bought 2 or 3, but all gone now

No, I meant Bictor, the little known version built under licence by the French pen and razor company under an urgent operational requirement during the Cuban missile crisis
But seriously, if you can get Shackletons at TK Maxx I can but hope for a Víctor to appear at some point....many years hence.

That'll be the disposable one then, throw it away when empty!

I was in Home Sense earlier (part of TK Maxx) and a Beaufighter somehow found its way into my basket... managed to resist the 1/24 Mustang for £35 though.

Pete

After resisting the temptation for a whole 24hrs I revisited TK Maxx and was pleased to see these two still sitting on the shelf. So I did the decent thing and gave them a loving home.;)

My haul from the winter Fayre at Coventry (Midland Air Museum) today:

Picture 1 shows why I haven't had much chance to do any modelling recently. That was about a minute after I brought the boxes in from the car and stacked them neatly in the corner ......

Reasonable prices for all, but I thought the taxi for £10 and the 1/24 190 for £35 were pretty good.

I went to the Hanslope show on Saturday, just for a look around, promised I wouldn't buy any more kits, but these cried out to be brought home!

We need to see inside the box for the Scammel.

What is it with cats and boxes? We got the Christmas tree stuff out yesterday and the cats are into the boxes before you could say anything.
