Then off to the shop to pick up these which the owner had bought in for me.

Fortunatly the wife was asleep when I came home...

The Hunter and the Hawk are going to be in the 74Sq collection. The Mossies are going to be my first real diversion into resin conversions. One will become a Sea Mosquito, the other a highball!

Spent next to nothing lately so had a lttle gamble on ebay had a result and got these delivered in the last couple of days , with a Iraqi dio in the planning thought these might be a good addition although with other armour and other stuff I`ve got the Abrams might not get used but nice to have in the stash , with the models the Humvee has lovely crisp detail with many options and looks a superb build , the Abrams looks ok but very bland tbh and will take a good paint job to bring it to life

The M1 is a bit bland but, if you want to tart it up there is a upgrade kit for it that covers it in reactive armour, slabs and slabs of it. Cannot remember where I saw the picture of one built but it sure looked impressive.

LOL went to the model shop today (big surprise) to buy a bottle of liquid poly. (are you aware of how much there is in a bottle of that stuff when you knock it over and its spread out over the work board!!!!!)

Any way ane bottle of Liiquid poly, twelve bottles of Alclad II, three tins of primer base coat and cleaner, a bottle of clear cote, ans a 1/48 scale Bucc; yes I brought another one. I thought it was time to leave while the going was good!

I did forget to buy the extra dark sea grey though! Duh!

Not so much a latest aquisitions list but a stock check of the kits I have in stock ready to be {Destroyed?} built.

US Naval Aircraft

None - E-2C, F-14 and F/A-18 added to top priority list

Others

Testing/Experimental (Thats testing or experimental for me, so no X class aircraft

Also an Aurora 1/48 Tiger Moth (No pic available)

The typhoon and F-14 are one of those stupid overpriced kits that you get with 4 stupid post of paint (You get the wrong colours and the instructions demand 15 of them!!!) and a useless double ended brush for £7.50, and I could have bought the basic kit without paint and brush for £4.99.

As you can see I need to purchase 1 or 2 US Naval aircraft before I finish my Seasprite.

I have two planned project for the Others list, an F-111 based at Lakenheath and Diorama of 2 Red Arrows (Inspired by a post on this forum)

For the Testing/Exp aircraft I plan an F-111 in US Navy colours (What if the F-14 wasnt up to scratch and the F-111 wont the Naval contract?)

O, all pictures blatantly stolen from the net :hihi:

As usual with money very tight just got these bits from ebay , the verlinden 1/35 vietnam/middle east house will work nicely with a Iraqi dio I`m planning and a bargin at £6.50 , the books are the 1st I`ve ever bought for modelling and tbh there is not a lot in them that I did not already know , although I got them cheap next time I will do a little research on books these are aimed at a novice imho

You win some you lose some , saying that not 15 minutes ago I won the Tamiya 1/350 Bismark for £26 , fancied this one for a long time , but with money tight it will be a present from the wife at Xmas ( maybe a unmade 2nd hand kit but its beats socks and pants for christmas )

I have a few of those Osprey books Richy. Spend a bit of time with them, they have hidden depths, you may find something that inspires you to try something a different way. The Bismark will be a superb Xmas pressie.

Wow! an original Inpact kit. That has to be mid sixties vintage. I don't think I've ever owned one though they were re-released by Lifelike, Pyro and maybe others. At the time they were considered exceptional kits so please let us know how you get on with that one.

Edit:

Here's a link to a build of the same kit (marketed by Lindberg,I knew there were others lol) which you might find interesting.

Cheers

Steve

Just won a 1/48 Revell Bf110 G-4 on evilbay. I think i may have a nachtjager problem as this is the third kit of this model i have now lol

Well having spent a lot of money on kit at Telford Sunday, i decided to get me a workstation store to keep it all in where it can be kept clean and dust free, everything inside it will relate to the smaller scale build. A nice investment i think, will look even better when i get some kit inside it.

And now i have to adimit it, You guys have worked a number on me and converted me virtualy overnight into a Tank fanatic :) Look what else i walked out with. If i can make a real good job of adding a cood paint job to these like you guys do i think i will go up another scale to.
