So arrived back in country and while I was away got this box on eBay, it contains about 16 tanks (M1 Abrams, M60, Bradley, T80, T64 and some BMP 1 30.
Couldn't resist at £32 including p and p.

Also got a Jet A1 scented candles to add to the ambiance.

nice haul - these are to 1/100 scale? - in my searching for models to 3D print, I often come across 'Flames of War' & 'Team Yankee' are these one and the same? Sadly 99% of the 1/100th models can't be scaled up to 1/35 for various reasons, but I occasinally find one that is suitable......................

They are Dave, I think 1/100 scale.
As for flames for war and team Yankee are the same, team Yankee is the "modern" type.
I have been looking to get a 3D printer for these but as yet haven't got around to it as yet.

They are 1:100 aka 15mm

If they are 1:100 they’d be closer to 18mm Andrew, however, as 18mm is the new 15mm I think you are close enough. After all, as we both know figure sculptors are extremely flexible in their interpretation of scale

Bit of advice required.

I have primed all of them now and painted first Russian ones. I opted for Mr Hobby Russia green (135) but this seems a bit too bright and I suspect is for WWII Russian.

What do others use in the MR Hobby range for Russian armour?

Better your eyesight than mine with this small scale.
For the Russian 'Green' I used Vallejo 'Russian Uniform' and after a wash with Burnt Umber oil and weathering the colour toned down to an acceptable level.
As for the Jet A1 candle, I prefer JD fumes :smiling3:

135 and 136 in the mr color range are russian green 1 and 2

Mr Color 17 for 1970's warsaw pact


tamiya xf-67 - nato green - appears to be being used by a lot of people mixed with with 1/2 xf-57 buff added to lighten it / tone it down

Opted for the 136 as I'm too lazy to mix and thought in my Mr Hobby shelf there has to be a close match.

Seems ok now it's sprayed on.

They look really good for the size and can be made to look really nice with limited time and effort using dry brushing and washes etc
