I’ve had this old Bandai kit in the Stash for a very long time. I thought this would be fitting to add it to my Ardennes Project because the Jeep was a vital work horse in WWII. I have already put the Body and the Chassis together and it was Fiddley I think that’s why I put it away for awhile. I’m going to try to add a couple Figs with this build also. It has a small trailer with it as well I’ll be building. I’ve worked on it a little this afternoon and this is where I’m at now.

Nice start Lee........I've been mucking around with one of these in 1-87 scale for my Tuskegee dio. that is now on hold. Looks like a fun little build. :thumb2:

Iconic workhorse of WW2. Looks OK for an old kit. It says 4 figures are included - are they useable?

Thanks Jim. There is 4 I wanted to put the driver in but it will take a lot of work and I still don’t think he will fit and look right. I took the drivers torso and put it on the Gunners lower half of his body so he would be looking straight ahead instead of up towards the sky. I’m going to put another one together and paint them both to see if I can use them. Thanks for stopping by.

Yep, looks to be ok for an old kit there Lee .....
However, the problem with getting a driver to sit properly in these older kits seems to be very common ;)
Good stuff mate,I shall follow along keenly. :)

Thank for the complement and stopping by. I’m finding that out. I might try one from a Tamiya kit.

I’ve got a little more done. Ready for paint when the weather gets a little better been raining here the last couple days. Before I paint the Gunner I’m going to sand his arms to blend them in and clean him up a little and we’ll see how he turns out. 0AA9F3EA-AD57-4F39-B189-BF1BF904579A.jpeg95AA3E06-354C-43CB-9893-D723A23BE56D.jpeg0480ED48-B852-4656-A480-55C6C47CAF50.jpeg7606E4B1-C90D-4313-9DFB-3E045BED1215.jpeg7E390567-A143-4171-BD38-3A1EE76E9CAC.jpegA9AECC2F-4396-4309-B3D4-7690A904EB8A.jpeg

Looking good Lee, what's that plastic like to work with as it looks very shinny?

Thanks John for the complement. It’s kind brittle but not bad the truth will come out when I get some primer on it how it really looks

That looks good Lee. Considering it's an old kit and 1/48 I'm quite impressed. The gunner actually sits quite well.

Thanks Jim for the complement. It’s a oldie but going together very well. I hope when I start painting the Gunner he will look decent.

Well Lee, I think you are turning into a real building machine my friend. The old Bandai 1/48 kits were pretty cool and you are doing this one some justice too. Keep it coming Buddy...

Thanks Allen. I finally got some mojo going and I have several Bandai kits on hand. I’m glad you say they go together well. Hope to get some paint on this soon.

Starting to look good with the heavy MG and gunner.....just noticed the wiper motors on the windshield frame, will the wipers be going on after or before you get to the paint phase?

Looks pretty good to me too Lee :)
Must agree about the gunner....his pose looks spot on from here,in fact,I don't think you could've done better with any others-very nice indeed mate ;)

Andy thanks for the complement. I’m hoping the paint does him justice. I glued his helmet on a little more to his left side to give the effects with him leaning that way also tilted it to front a little. I appreciate you stopping by.
