First of I would like to thank Peter for hosting this GB. Next I would like to mention that this year marks Kenworth’s 100th years in business. I haven’t built this kit for over 35 years but when AMT re-leased this kit this year I just had to get one. This truck was especially built for the rugged roads and Ice Roads of the Alaskan and Northern Territories hauling Pipe and Vidal cargo to the Pipe lines in the Mid 1960s and early 1970s. So bundle up and put your snow shoes on as I build this Big Beautiful Beast. Here’s the sprue shots of over 300 Parts. Engine is done all 31 parts except for paint. The Engine will be painted White because Kenworth and Peterbilt both painted there Engines that color to show Oil and Coolant leaks as well as other problems. I did my best but the molds are sure showing there age as well as I lol. 1BE0506B-001F-4F10-82BC-970F81DF8742.jpeg5C4ADE63-5F77-4656-AF95-B66F9939C904.jpeg1A353517-1531-4379-824C-77084835C3B7.jpeg

Another monster. Just been looking at Andy's Aussie beast. It will make an eye-catching model.

I’m sure I built something similar many years ago, something to do with Rubber duck in a movie? Might have been a different make of truck but looked similar or I really had a strange dream

The film you are thinking of is Convoy and the truck driven by Rubber Duck was a Mack, strangely it is on tv tonight on one of the freeview channels.

Andy.

Lee, are you giving her a good winter dusting of snow ?, she'd look awesome with a smattering of the elements over her..

I thought about it but I never liked weathering my 1/25 scale trucks so this guy will be clean and green sorry.

Lee,
I will follow along.
Thanks for stopping by Scottie.

The model came with a big duck to make
Yes I remember having that model it was made buy Ertl and totally wrong truck compared to the real one in the movie.

Thanks Jim though it would be a good subject instead of your average 10 wheeler. Those Aussie trucks like Andy is building are very neat my oldest brother really likes them and has all kinds of 1/25 resin aftermarket truck parts and 1/25 Aussie trucks as well in 1/25 scale. I may have to build one some day
