Lee Drennen’s Hobby Farm & Garden

For some reason, we can't grow tomatoes past the flowering stage. The plants are strong and flower really well and then seem to stall. Small fruit that never rippen.

I didn't bother this year.
Where are you attempting to grow, out side or under glass ?

I've got a small greenhouse and have tried them in that but I've tried growbags in a sheltered but sunny spot with the same results

I've tried different varieties too.

This week I’ve had the Sheep for 1 year now and their doing well survived the winter very good. Hope to get them out on their first Paddock next week. Enjoy the pics.

Nice to see an update. Looks very cold but spring is round the corner.

Thanks Jim I know you always liked what’s going on at the farm. Yes Spring is almost here but I kinda hate to see winter go as I enjoy the snow more these days because I don’t have to work in the winter.

It does look rather cold in those pictures Lee, the sheep look well though.

Yes it was cold here we had a couple weeks this winter where the temperatures were in the high the teens and lows in the negatives. The Sheep didn’t mind they had a good coat on and I made a deep litter of Straw for them to lay down on in the barn. Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you Richard I appreciate it. I’m so blessed with this small Farm I’ve down sized it quite a bit from years past. Maybe someday you’ll get that wish but if you have a window you still can put out a little garden in your flat with a few plants. Hope to get some more updates on the farm soon. Lots of work to do since spring is on our heels here.

IMG_2320.jpg IMG_2323.jpg IMG_2328.jpg This weekend was very busy. Saturday hauled Manure up to the field and spreaded by hand and got a few other things done. The sheep got out and had fun roaming around eating the green grass.
