Looking forward to it. (right now I'm working on my first (and probably last ever!) Miniart kit and it's an absolute nightmare)) So I can't wait to start on the missile launcher as it's not by miniart

Don't give up 'cos of one kit that didn't work out for you. I don't build Miniart kits as I've had similar problems, but there are lots of good kits out there which will go together much more easily - unfortunately the one you've picked may not be one of them.
It's always worth checking to see if there are any build videos of a kit you fancy. I've looked at a couple of the SAM 6 and both have commented on fit issues with the missiles. It would be a shame for you to give up because your first couple of kits don't go right.
Have a look and see if you can find a Tamiya kit you fancy. They may not always be the most accurate or detailed, but you can guarantee they'll go together without any problems - and it's always nice to look at a finished kit and think "I built that and it looks pretty good. Maybe not perfect but my next one will be better." And that's all that most of us look for. We know our builds won't be perfect, but as long as they're better than the last one ....

I agree with what Dave said above. It’s good to finish a model, letting you look at and think, “I made that!” and giving you the confidence that you can do it. Tamiya kits are really good for that, and if I’m honest, Steve, I think a big part of the reason you’re not enjoying it is because you’re overreaching.
Sorry no such thing as a bad kit some are better than others ,mini art must be doing something right they don't seem to be slowing down so someone must be buying their kits ,loads of parts doesn't make it any harder to build than one with less parts you might well need to work at it a bit harder but the prosses is the same read instructions familiarise your self with the parts glue parts together. Sorry we've all had to learn to walk before we could run nearly all newbies when asking about starting out are told you won't go wrong with tamiya as I'm sure you were ,there will alway be a few badly fitting parts ,there's always a bit of flash to be found ,there will always be the odd broken part ,revell put a difficulty rating on their boxes but there's no guarantee you wouldn't find the above problems in something rated with a 1 or a 5 by the same token what constitutes a1 and whats a five. Your find even the most experienced guys on here dont run there just farther up the learning curve.
Looking at this perhaps Lees group build page doesn't need this sorry lee. D

I just opened my model for this GB (but left all the sprue bags sealed) and quite frankly I'm even more excited about it now!
The kit looks really nice, is larger than I expected and although it has some PE, theres only like 7-8 pieces and it's quite large, so no ultra tiny bits.
So yeah, I'm even more excited for this now, really looking forward to the start! :smiling3:

I have a question about the model I was planning to build for this GB.
I purchased the model off Ebay, not realising it had been already started. It was clearly stated that this was the case but I failed to read it and was seduced by the cheap price.
Anyway I've checked the kit and all seems fine, but I'm wondering of it is valid for this GB, which states mist be less than 10% complete. I think this is this the case with my model but it's not my decision. If it isn't, I'll source something else for the GB.
I've attached picture but basically the chassis had been built and seats installed in the cabin. There has been no painting at all.
So it this allowed for the GB?
