Bit like the title says really. Does anyone have a long term project in the planning or going on?

I've just got all this kit together and i'm planning to do ZD846/BL from 14 'The Crusaders' Sqn whilst based at RAF Bruggen. Unfortunetly it crashed but i always considered it 'my' jet. I think it's going to be one of those projects that takes me about a year to do. Looking forward to it but daunted as well. I'm not even going to say (incase SWMBO sees) how much this little lot cost me to put together lol

So far i have :

1/32 Revell Tornado GR1

Aires IDS cockpit

Aires Airbrakes

Aires Engines

Paragon Flaps & Slats

SAC Undercarriage Parts 1 & 2

Master Pitot probe & AoA probes

Reheat Models Tornado crew

Eduard canopy mask

I also have plans for a bit of scratch building for a few things too

Staying alive is my long term project....

To complete " The Big One " by the end of the year.

Allyne that is gonna be sweet(and HUGE)! Eventually I'm planning a back lit night dio with a 'duel under the Stars' between a Lanc and a yet to be decided Nachtjager, but that is still in the idea stage.

I've got an MDC resin 1/32 Hawker Typhoon that makes an appearance on the cutting mat once in a while, and then retires back in its box. Never done a resin kit before, and now I know why...

my 1/35 crab boat and the "prometheus" (which i should have finished for the Space build, ooops) are both long, long, long term projects. .. just didn't realsie how much work would be involved.

I have a few kits sitting waiting for me to do something, eduard f6 all sealed up just waiting for paint, tamiya raiden- again all sealed up waiting for paint, tamiya p47 sealed up waiting for paint, and now a stegosaurus on my table getting a lot of attention with the file - soon ready for paint. This has been my progress since my last finished model October last year ! It's been a long time since ive flown one of my planes (hold out the model and spin around in my computer chair)

good to know I'm not the only one who takes a bit of time with their models :)

My Ben Ain steamer has taken somewhere in the region of eight years so far. No problem though as I reckon I only have a couple of years to go!! There again I've been saying that for about the past six years!!

Trey that's a great idea. Surely it's got to be a Schrage Musik armed nightfighter (I like the Bf110) so that you can put it more or less under the bomber saving space :)

Cheers

I have a 1/35 armoured train, eight armoured wagons and a coal tender to complete, when it's done it should work out to be round 14ft long and i want to put it into a bridge diorama when it's done, if i can find the room.

14 foot long! on a bridge dio , thats going to be a BIG river scott! I too would love to see this, i know it would look amazing! cheers tony

Ive got a little project that i have had on the to do pile for a few years. The intention is to make a 1/32 MiG 15 UTI, the 2 seat trainer. I intend to do this by using the trumpeter 1/32 Jian Ji 5 - the chinese 2 seat adaptation of the MiG 17 , and a trumpeter 1/32 MiG 15 single seater. It all came about after i realised how wrong the airframe on the mig 17 by them was , the JJ5 is all wrong too but the cockpit section and canopy arrangement is identical to the mig 15 uti. The MiG 15 single seater airframe on the other hand ,is ok apart from the canopy , so the idea is to chop off the upper cockpit section of the JJ5 and graft it onto the single seater airframe, which is the same as the UTI (in length, height ,width etc.) apart from the cockpits. Sounds easy? If i ever get round to it youll be the first to know!!! cheers tony

Now that's going to be like the scene in 'Close Encounters' when Richard Dreyfuss builds the Devils Tower in his living room! You've gotta do it Scott!

I'm still messing around with my tiger reloading and service somewhere in normandy, Just received a shed load of polly sheets and blocks.

But after watching Roman's amazing plane builds i'm havin a go at a FW190A8,just hope i can do him and the plane justice.

Cheers

I have a 1/72 scale Corvette on the back burner, you know the Revell one , HMS Snowberry. Mine will be as HMS Bluebell as in 1945

Been start, stop, start, stop for a good four years now..... (Thats embarrassing!) To make it look a bit better I have gotten hold of all the white metal and PE from Great Little Ship.

I really should blow the dust of it one day and get it done!

Look forward to seeing the Tornado come together Al-

Got a scratchbuilt model of HMS Serapis (1779) on the go. Started in 2003 and not even half finished yet. Most ive done on it in the last 2 years though is dust it.
