Engine and chassis are completed, next up are body and interior. I have decided to paint the body yellow since it got the most votes as of now but I have not decided on the interior color yet. I am not sure a tan interior works well with a yellow body (at least not in my head, have not been able to find good pictures while googling) so I am leaning towards satin black. But there still is time to convince me otherwise.

Yellow car .... black leather interior with yellow piping looks the business if you ask me.

Chassis looks swish mate!

Had to take an involuntary break from building but I am now back working on the interior.

I am finding it difficult to find good reference pictures so I thought perhaps you can help answer my questions.

1. How should the headlining be painted for a black interior? Flat black like the floor or satin black like the door sides, seats and the rest of the interior?

2. What color should the inside of the tailgate be painted in? Same as the headlining?

Personally i would paint the headlining a light grey and the inside of the tailgate black , cheers tony

I can do that too, I just want to paint it the way a real Esprit looks.

Linings are either beige or grey depending on the interior colour, if it has black seats then the lining will be grey.

The boot space is normally charcoal/black no matter what colour the cockpit is.

Thank you for the picture tony. Will paint satin black, like the seats and doors, all the way up until the headlining starts then some flat light gray.

As for the tailgate I will go with flat black like the rest of the engine compartment.
