nice paintwork John, I wouldn't worry too much about thin layers, any weathering and extras will help blend it all together..

Thanks Chris, you know what's it's like when you've done something and spend time looking at it.

Paint looks very good. Glad you've found a primer you like. A good primer can certainly help to achieve a good top coat.

Very nice, looking good in green John :thumb2:
Interested in the Aqueous primer as I’m always looking for alternatives to the stinky lacquer based stuff.

Cheers Jim, certainly has made using the ab a pleasure.

All looking top notch mate.
Thanks Paul.
All looking top notch mate.
Hi Si, it's great to use, the only downside is the smell from the thinners , a bit strong. Definitely for me face mask time .
Looking good Wobble... 5* job.
Thanks Wibble. :smiling3:

Looking good John, nice you have a primer that works well for you, makes things go a lot better.

Coming on very nicely John.

Interested in the primer too. Have got to grips with Vallejo now but once that is all used up, may be worth looking at this if it as good as you say.

Thanks Graeme, I agree it's made the whole build more enjoyable.

Andrew , I don't think I would want to every rely on Vallejo primers ever again . In fact when I started using AK 3 rd gen primers I ditched all the Vallejo including 4BO ! Will use up all of those and go over to MR Hobby exclusively. As I said in reply to Si apart from the smell with the thinners it's a no brainer.

Sorry Si I replied twice to Paul :smiling2:, it's great to use, the only downside is the smell from the thinners , a bit strong. Definitely for me face mask time Looks like I was mistaking it with the tool cleaner See below what Dave says.

John great stuff not bleating but told you it was good fool proof almost ,glad to see how it made such a difference to your confidence no hassel with the primer you breezed through the green stuff. Dont know if the AK thinner is smelly for ages now ive only used the mr hobby aqueous thinner in all my acrylic paints never noticed much of a oder ,I will admit though the mr hobby tool cleaner is very smelly (lacquer paint smelly) but what a product never a problem with mess on a blanket type situations. I'll pm later to get your full sp on the primer.
Dave.
Just a note to others looking in I have done a product review on bothe the black and grey aqueous primer in said review place.

Late arrival in the backrow John, neat work on the paintjob and that TD seems to be a decent kit :thumb2:

Ha, well you were certainly right Dave .
:smiling2:Yes it's the tool cleaner is the one that smells. By god it cleaned some crab out of the ab though.
Couldn't believe what muck there was in there .Will check the AK thinners tomorrow and report back .

Hi mate , good to see you . Thanks. it's going ok , strange plastic, well I think so :smiling2: as when you scrap any seam marks it leaves a lighter mark and bits every where .

Been doing 1/1 work , painting the cave door and cladding, now doing the front gates. Having to take it in stages these days , as feel knackered very quickly these days .
