Spent a lot of time today using the hot wire cutter, after much time spent slicing thin scrap sections I've must have made enough roof tiles to last me out !

Did manage to cut out the building , didn't get time to scribe , so the photo shows how it will look.
Also added a nother couple of roof joists to the tower .

The base & building look great John, the closed in streets would be difficult for armoured vehicles.
Posts crossed Graeme.Thanks.
Yes not the best place for tracked armour, it certainly won't be soon !

Evening Mr R, Seems I missed an update :surprised:

Some very nice stone work and carpentry skills….looking excellent

Hi John.

Just had a catch-up. Sorry you had to start again with the ground work but that knew one is coming on very nicely.

Also LOVE the corrugated sheet idea! Very interesting!!!

Now you’re saying it I remember seeing you do them before ….. Works very nicely, I wonder if I could scale it down to 1/72 convincingly

So I was thinking exactly that. There must be a way......

What about if you glued cocktail sticks or something round and thinner onto two wooden blocks the width apart of whatever you're using. Then push down......if you don't push too hard you shouldn't get a flat spot on the top where you hit the block.

I made a very similar tool for the only corrugated roof I've done. Simple, but it did the job with a bit of persuasion. I'll send you a picture of it once I'm out in the shed.

Today saw a roof made for the cottage, didn't want anything too thick so used 2 sheets of card glued together. Stuck some remains of joist in as well, the tiles will be glued on later.
Managed an overall spray of black, didn't do the roof as the tiles need to be glued first.

Yes It was Si, had to fill the large cup 6 times. Use one of those plastic shot cups, half full of paint then add some thinners to about 3/4 . All good fun.
