Well this morning I've gone from a non swimmer to 4 1/2 widths, amazing what you can do on holiday (tbh not in one go ) but I am chuffed, my brother will be embarrassed he can swim like a fish. I must also admit I'm knackered for the rest of the day.

Good one, I'm always knackered after a couple of lengths. My technique sucks. The misses is like a fish so I don't even try to keep up haha

Well done. Over the course of a couple of years my wife worked up from measuring her swimming in widths, to doing 50+ lengths at a time - there'll be no stopping you now!

A friend of mine retired, and had some swimming lessons. He could swim like the rest of us, but he was taught a better technique to use and couldn't believe how much easier / efficient his swimming was.

I got better when I was training for my lifeguard but quit when I went to uni. Now I can mountain bike all day but can't tread water!

6 widths this morning,2 complete without stopping . Trying to learn how to float, come to the conclusion I have heavy bones and am designed to sink, or swim.

that's so funny ,so from 4 to 6 whats next 9.1/2 and that way you will not sink,

Well done Ken. Like you learnt to swim in one lesson. Costly as I then bought a boat.


Good swimmer now. Four stokes in a session but improving it was three last year.
