Great work around Wabble.
The expressions and positions of the troops are phenomenal.
Going to be a belter of a diorama when done !

Richard,
That is one seriously excellent looking scene, very nicely done indeed mate. this is heading to be one of the best builds I have seen for ages.

Thanks John, keeping my fingers crossed, still not out of the neck of the woods.

Thanks and what a lovely comment Scottie, glad you like it so far.

Today I spent the whole time keeping house on my laptop but managed to punch some dried leaves. With so much greenery around there ought to be a lot of old leaves scattered on the jungly floor or on the road...

Punched this bunch from what else but dried leaves collected just outside the house. Earlier I tried punching brown paper but it didn't have the same effect as real dried leaves.
What I'm missing is the fern punch.

Cheers,

Paint detailing monkeys today and only managed two. The difference in sculpt finishes determines the amount of time and also degree of the finished look and I'd veer towards a better sculpt if I want an easier task. My skills in sculpting still needs a huge amount of learning and only wished I had spent more time to smoothen the putty. Anyway here are the two near completion ...

I will drill his mouth to take a branch holding two fruit...ammunition for the ambush.
The others are waiting in the wings and I hope the comb of bananas I gave them holds out or it'll be mayhem.

Basically wire inserted into pre drilled putty and twisted. Will coat the wire stems with Uhu before painting.

Slow progress...Zsa Zsa didn't make it, had to euthanise her yesterday because she was deteriorating with organs failing after a blood test. Made sure we were all present and telling her how good a cat she was. Our first and oldest cat...no fuss except with old age had forgotten the litter bin a few times. Will miss her even with the other 24 running around.

Richard.

That's a Great Looking "crew" Richard.....should be able to hold off the enemy for some time with all that ammo. ;)

So sorry to hear about Zsa Zsa. It's heartbreaking when we have to say goodbye to a friend.

Monkey troop is looking great.

Sorry to hear about Zsa Zsa.
The monkeys & fruit are looking good Richard, interesting to see how the human figures go on the truck.

Feel for you both Wabble .Very sad to read .

Build coming on , think your sculpting is a lot better than you give credit to .

Thank you kindly gentlemen, she's now happily running and playing with seeing with both eyes in cat heaven.

As for the monkeys TBH I don't know what fruit they're using as ammunition but if they're throwing it must be un-edible or poisonous since their food source of bananas are being blocked by the troops in the truck.

Cheers,
Wabble
