Anyone have an idea why twice today when trying to log on here I have received this message.

The warning advised me not to open this site, and the report with it advised that someone had attempted to access my personal information.

so I thought it may be good to try but Im a bit reluctant to spend too much money in case it does not come out too well.

cheaper option would be to try a smaller scale

im sure Revell did a 1/32 and Italerai/Hasegawa do one for about 25 quid cos i saw one on ebay the other day

I would be careful. The web site gave the address of Symantec, but is it Symantec or another site which will immediately install mallware on your computer. I get similar messages saying that my account at xyz bank has been corrupted by external agents. You must reset your password and quote your bank account number. Visit this address: something.com

Yeah i normally get that with sites claiming to be paypal etc. you need to login and reset your password.

I'd be suspicious, I use the latest version of Symantec Norton360 and it has given me no warnings regarding this site.

Hi folks, back on line.

I to use the latest version of Symantec Norton360, and did an immediate deep scan which found no issues at all.

I will be changing all my passwords anyway, just to be safe.

Good idea Gregg. I am a bit more cautious nowadays after having my credit card details cloned. I have no idea how they did it as I never let it out of my site and I never divulge it to anyone I don't know. Norton is always on in the background but didn't warn me of anything so I really don't know what happenned.

On one occasion when this happened to me it was as a result of a clearing bank in the US, which dealt with credit card transactions from thousands of traders internationally, being hacked.

My actual transaction had been with Hannants but it was absolutely nothing to do with them, nor was it their fault in any way.

I do not think that banks or that type normally email customers. At least mine has not.

When Banks phone they normally ask you to prove who you are. I give them back the same answer. They then tell me to phone them back through the Banks number. Also phone another number before I do that to ensure the line has been cleared from the bank call. Recently fraudsters have cottoned on to the phone back. You hang up but they do not. You dial the number and there they are still on the line.

I get a few request form various banks to log on and update my PW etc. Now I've never given my real bank my email address and they seem to be the only bank that doesn't spam me !
