So after all the trials and tribulations here is the completed model after a yet another subtle coat of khaki green applied and the finishing touch was to go over the rivets and the edges of the plates with an 8B pencil then the decals were added and applied using Microsol Red so they be drawn down onto the surface of the model they look a little bright compared to the rest of the tank so I might dull them down a little bit with a suitable wash after they’ve had time to set
Once again, many thanks for your comments and viewing my builds they may not be the best but I try to show from the confident modellers perspective rather than total rivet counting accuracy for my builds & I rarely weather them as somebody pointed out to me some of these tanks might have a life expectancy of about 2 weeks in some cases and that would probably be insufficient time for rust to accumulate in large patches so the tank would look reasonably new not always a case, but I reckon about 90% of them probably would be but that is down to the discretion of the modeller if they want to weather their model, then they are fully entitled to do so in my case I do not as I have fear of screwing up finished article so mine look like they have come out of the museum
For my next project we will be doing another World War I tank this time a Mk V Female 1/35 again from Meng
