Hi folks managed to finish the mig and made a simple base for it. The Academy kit was a pleasure to put together with minimal sanding of a few seams.

I did re scribe the whole kit but if I'm honest it didn't really need it but strangely I quite enjoyed it:confused:.

Thanks for looking and any comments that you leave.

Magnificent paintwork!!!

Smooth job on the panel lines. I love the look on the final colour! Is a satin varnish, oil wash..? O_o

Cheers

Stunning paintwork, great job on the markings they really pop without looking cartoonish. Sweet build all round

That's a right stonker of a model John you should be proud of that one brilliant paintwork and as everybody said the simple base sets it off perfectly

Tony I use Dymo tape placed along the line to take. Then with the scriber

firmly but gently scribe to the tape but not pushing against it with any pressure.

Just a scratch to begin until a small groove is made continue with many light passes.

Even if you stray the damage is very limited.

Just lean against the tape edge. Also used lining tape on corners but this has a softish edge

so real care is needed.

Apologies for butting in John.
