Even if you stray the damage is very limited.
Just lean against the tape edge. Also used lining tape on corners but this has a softish edge
so real care is needed.

I didn't use tape as Laurie does just a combination of three scribers tamiya trumpeter and bare metal foil all had there uses in equal amounts and of course lots of patience.My model kits in the main are not at the high end of the market in quality or price so a re scribe on some is a necessity. The practice I'm getting is starting to pay off as I'm not slipping or bleeding as much as I did on my first attempt.
